CDC Blew it on Obesity Numbers

Being overweight is nowhere near as big a killer as the government thought, ranking No. 7 instead of No. 2 among the nation’s leading preventable causes of death, according to a startling new calculation from the CDC.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated today that packing on too many pounds accounts for 25,814 deaths a year in the United States. As recently as January, the CDC came up with an estimate 14 times higher: 365,000 deaths.

Any time you see Science by press release you should be very skeptical. Until something is peer reviewed it doesn’t mean anything.

Remember Obesity being the #2 Killer in America?

Well surprisingly enough, the CDC admits they were wrong.Now we ain’t talking a little wrong, not even, wow that was kinda skewed wrong.We are talking 14 times wrong, they thought is was 365,000 deaths a year, turns out it is more like 25,814.Get it?

Obesity is a growing health problem these days because people are too lazy to do some extra exercise and they eat too much. i always exercise and do cardio regularly to maintain a healthy weight.
