There used to be a (clothes?) store named Ragtime Closet at the Kroger/Mayo/S&S shopping center. For years, I mean YEARS, like 10 years running, some hee-larious person(s) kept changing the portable sign out by the road to read Fagtime Closet. And it would stay that way for weeks on end.

My favorite confusing name for a store has got to be The Jewelry Shack.

Joe: Sorta related - there’s a jewelry store in West Knoxville called The Gem Store. Somehow I got the idea it was a rock store with geodes and stuff.

Along the same lines, I know that it’s the family name but I have always been very wary of shopping at a store called “Proffit’s”.
