I noticed a visitor in the blog’s referral logs that came from Deviant Art (work safe despite the name). It turns out the artist used a photo from this 2003 blog post to make a photo manipulation.

It looks to me like the only part of Jay that earned net.fame is two of his fingers.
His two fingers, his wry smile, and his joie de vivre. I’d recognize Jay’s joie de vivre anywhere.
I remember the ads they used to run for the Commando back in the ’70s, when boatjacking was a problem between Florida and the Caribbean. “Sailing into rough waters?”
I ran across this picture of Jay about a year ago. I was searching for Fluke Multimeter suppliers in Knoxville. Since I am good friends with Jay, I was positive that there was a glitch in the Matrix. It remided me of the end of “Breakfast of Champions”. Its amazing how a strange coincidence can challange your perception of reality.
