The Darth Side almost singlehandedly redeemed the whole 1-3 trilogy, though.

It’s like Lucas laid this enormous pile of crap, but despite the steaming mass, there was something beautiful inside, but everyone only see its outlines and they couldn’t articulate what exactly what it looked like, and finally, years after the pile first started being deposited, one brave person stuck his hand in the pile and pulled out the story and cleaned it off enough for everyone to see what it looked like, although even then, there was plenty of ugly, stinky crap that was inextricably bound all the way down to the very core of the story.

But the movies are still unwatchable (except for RotS, which was just merely bad).

I haven’t seen RotS since it came out. I’m actually looking forward to seeing it again. I’ll probably wind up buying the prequel box set, believe it or not.
