WVLT – Trial Date Set for Johnia Berry Murder Suspect – Trial date is March 3, 2008. Olson was assigned a public defender, but Greg Isaacs is taking the case. Johnia’s biological father, John Tiller, comments on the arrest. I thought Tiller was a previous husband or something, but according to WVLT Johnia was put up for adoption when she was five, though they were in contact and maintained a relatioship up until the day she died.

I missed the episode of Montell Williams, when Joan asked Sylvia Brown about the murder. Does the information that Sylvia provided match in any way the suspect that has been arrested?
I have followed this case closely as I use to be Johnias’ neighbor, and my sister was Johnias’ babysitter when she was an infant.
John Tiller and Joan were married when Johnia was born and they divorced a few years later and after Joan married her current husband he adopted Johnia.
I would like to clarify the story aired by WVLT in Sept. ’07. They were notified of the error concerning Johnia’s age and adoption, but never made corrections in their story. John allowed Johnia to take the Berry name at the age of about 13 or 14 not 5 years old. It had nothing to do with adoption according to the Berry’s and their attorney. It was only a name change.
