Green Beards for Environmental Hypocrites

Environmentally conscious Leonardo DiCaprio is practicing what he preaches these days. The actor recently added an eco-friendly apartment in New York City to his impressive list of earth-healthy possessions, which already include a hybrid car and a solar paneled home in Los Angeles.

Solar panels? Wow! That sure must be one environmentally friendly house. Now don’t you feel ashamed for living in your non-solar powered house, you environmental ogre, you?

Don’t get too ashamed just yet. Here’s a picture of DiCaprio’s Los Angeles ~~house~~.~~mansion~~ estate.

It’s a good thing DiCaprio has a Prius. Otherwise the gas bill for commuting from the mansion to the pool would be murder.

Solar panels or no, the actor’s mansion uses more power than yours or mine. The solar panels are a green beard to hide a consumptive lifestyle that is at odds with his eco-friendly public image and his environmental documentary. DiCaprio is not “practicing what he preaches.” He’s preaching “do as I say, not as I do.”

I agree with “”, Leo should speak up for the environmnet. Bill Clinton should make awareness raising PSAs against sexual harrassment too.

The more hypocrisy the better. Check out Al Gore’s house. It let’s us know that they don’t really believe the crap they’re pushing. Because if they did, they would live differently. The world is going to end after all.

I’d live in that thing if I could afford it but I wouldn’t be a self-important, hpyocritical preaching celeb while doing it. Puffed up twits. I skip their movies and ignore their lectures. Try it; you’ll be happier.

Les Jones: if Leonardo really wants to “speak up for” the environment he would decamp to a trailer park and save the world all the electricity, gas, water, etc. he is consuming on the DiCaprio Compound.

Get it?

Also, he should have a wrecking crew come in and raze the place, then plant trees to suck up the excess CO2 he’s generated. Othewise some other rich person will just move in and continue harming the planet.

Right? RIGHT?

But what he DOESN’T get to do unchallneged is to be an effing POSEUR urging everyone else to live in a trailer park whilst he lives in the lap of luxury.

Home many trees were cut down for his estate how many birds were put out of ther homes so he could have all the wood that went into that house and also about the furnture in his home as well as all that acres of area.
