Bluegill

Someone stocked the pond in our office park and I saw the potential for a picture. The polarizing filter did its job by removing the reflection from the surface and letting the camera peak underwater.

The color pictures were very boring, so I tried converting them to black and white to see if that helped, and it did. I discovered you can get a more dramatic B&W in Picasa by going to Effects and first using the B&W filter and then applying Tint and using a white tint (which is the default) to increase the contrast between black and white. That made the picture sort of interesting, but it still needs something. I’m going to try again in morning or late afternoon light.
