Because Paul Allen needs bigger yachts
Friday, February 20th, 2009 | Politics |
Obama’s stimulus makes Paul Allen a billion dollars richer. If this was Bush we’d never hear the end of it.
In other “that was then this is now” news
If Obama ever said anything bad about NAFTA during the election he doesn’t remember it now.
Gitmo - what’s the big whoop? Nice place, actually.
China, your abuse of Tibet is intolerable, and we’ll take care of it the minute we fix the economic crisis, the global climate change crisis and the security crisis. I kid you not. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton actually said that.
Paying her first visit to Asia as the top US diplomat, Clinton said the United States would continue to press China on long-standing US concerns over human rights such as its rule over Tibet.
“But our pressing on those issues can’t interfere on the global economic crisis, the global climate change crisis and the security crisis,” Clinton told reporters in Seoul just before leaving for Beijing.
LATER: Amnesty International and Students for a Free Tibet aren’t happy with Clinton.

Les, you’ve gone from being Mr. Skeptical, dig deeper into the story, to Mr. Gullible, no slander too cheap.
Obviously Republicans want America to fail. When they were in power, they implemented policies that weakened the country in multiple ways. Now that they are out of power, they loudly cheer for failure. Their abrupt transition from sound asleep to awake and bawling reveals quite a bit about them, but at least we know they can stay true to the principle of ruining the country.

“Obviously Republicans want America to fail. When they were in power, they implemented policies that weakened the country in multiple ways.”
Assuming for the sake of argument that that’s true, the Democrats are following exactly the same policies in the examples above. So according to your logic the Democrats are now pursuing policies to weaken the country.

The only policy demonstrated by those links is a policy of dishonest discourse, long a hallmark of the radio right and something you once at least tried to temper.
