Didn’t know that. I had some free time to catch a flick and this one was just about to start, so I bought a ticket and strolled into the theater on a whim. Now I want to see that TW episode to see how much they departed from the original story.
The basic premise – press the button on the box and you’ll get a million dollars, but someone you don’t know will die – is just sort of the starting point. It gets way out from there.
Oh, right. The Internet. So looking at the Wikipedia entry it tells where the story ends. The movie goes on for a long time after that and gets pretty out there.

Neat. The movie is set in the Seventies and there was some very groovy wallpaper in the house.
The film is supposed to take place in Richmond, VA. I want Steve K (who lived there for a few years recently) to tell me how much was actually shot there. Especially the library scene, which lasts quite a while.
I was writing it off when I saw the commercials, since it’s just a movie length version of a 15-minute Twilight Zone episode.

Well, that expanding on the end sounds a lot more promising than trying to stretch that episode out for 90 minutes at least.
Funny coincidence. The house it was partially filmed in, happens to be in my home town of Milton, Massachusetts.
In fact, the house of a school friend; which I haven’t been in since the mid 80s (as it happens, they mentioned it on facebook last year some time).
I’ve seen some production stills, previews and the like… looks much the same as it did back then.
