We noticed Felix was limping Friday night and his paw was a little swollen. Saturday morning he was still limping, so Melissa took him to the vet.
The vet’s best guess was a bite, possibly a cat bite or spider bite. His foot has swelled more and more since then. It’s three times the size of his other front paw. He’s going back to the vet today. Poor kitty.
Poor kitty is right. Last year our cat had a kidney stone. I didn’t even know cats could get kidney stones.
In that situation I always assumed I would just put the animal down, but when the vet offered a surgical solution I found myself dishing out the cash to keep him. We just love our pets too much to let them go.
he has a special diet now.
I used to think I wouldn’t go to a bunch of trouble over a cat, either, but I found out I was wrong when Felix was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago. We gotta do what we can for the little fella. Natalie especially loves him to pieces.

Our dog had kidney stones. We didn’t even realize until we saw blood in his urine. When he had his operation the vet removed over a handful of tiny stones and some larger ones. I don’t know if it was down to the milk we had been giving him over the years but maybe thats the connection between cats, dogs and kidney stones!?
