Nikon released the D4, their new top of the line flagship model. It’s out of my league, but has some cool features. Besides the usual more megapixel type stuff, it has built-in Ethernet, and a new optional WiFi transmitter. The new WiFi adapter has a built-in Web server so you can set exposure and focus remotely with a Web browser. Swank.
P.S. Here’s a video demonstrating the remote control WiFi adapter. With a touchscreen device like a tablet you can set focus by touching the screen. Sweet.

So very cool. Yet another thing that goes on the list of things making me want to spend money I don’t have.

Just how far will that wireless transmitter reach?
This might be the perfect setup for a 1,000 yard target camera.
Good question. 1,000 yards is quite a stretch, but you could set up wifi repeaters.
