Today is National Ammo Day, and this week is National Ammo Week. Buy ammo to show support for the firearms industry in the U.S. I plan on picking some up at the gun show this weekend.

So I don't own a firearm at the present time, but I want to participate in National Ammo Day. What to do? What to do? I think I have a fair solution - buy a box of .22LR and use the purchase to renew my ownership of a firearm.... If I ever get a gun again, it will likely either be a .22LR pistol or rifle. But I'd like a shotgun and a nice scoped rifle and an old-fashioned lever gun - all fond memories of a childhood in rural North Carolina. And if I get one of those, heck, I may as well pick up an inexpensive plinker at the same time.
