The Usual Suspects > Going to California

mcmanus.jpgSpoilers ahead if you haven't seen the movie.

If Keyser Zose planned everything, how did he get the gang from New York to LA? He had to have them in California to destroy the cocaine on the boat.

So, who decided they'd go to Califonia? McManus had to go to meet his fence, Redfoot. Kent asked if that meant he was going to California. Hockney objected strenuously to McManus and Fenster taking the jewels to California and leaving the rest of them behind. Keaton took charge and said that LA would be a good place to lay low for a while. It's ambiguous: no one person made the decision.

PS I created a new heading for Suspects-related posts.

The first time I saw this film in the theater, it literally had me sitting on the edge of my seat from the very beginning. But what really made me sit up was Redfoot's entrance in the film. Gosh the actor, Peter Greene, was soooo intense in those scenes. Sometimes I wish there were a little bit more of Redfoot (Peter Greene) in the film, but I guess this way, with just two scenes it makes the character even more enigmatic.

So you got me curious, and I looked up Peter Greene on IMDB. I didn't realize he was uncredited in Usual Suspects. That was pretty bogus. He did a great job and deserved to be in the credits.

I looked through his filmography. Holy cow! He was Zed in Pulp Fiction? Wow.

I know, I don't remember him as Zed at all. I'll have to watch Pulp Fiction again. There's not much on Peter Greene on the web, but I found one article, in case you're interested:

Btw, your Usual Suspects page looks great.
