News > Bush in Baghdad

I'm pretty impressed with Bush's Thanksgiving trip to Baghdad. That showed a lot of guts. A rocket attack nearly killed Paul Wolfowitz in Baghdad a few weeks ago.

He also sacrificed his Thanksgiving with his family to spend time with troops who were away from theirs. That's just good leadership. To ensure security, he went home to Crawford first, then snuck out and went to Baghdad. It would have been easier for him to go straight from England to Baghdad, but those two extra trans-Atlantic crossings made it less likely his visit would be disrupted or prevented by security concerns.

Bush Snuck to Baghdad –– Sneaked back too
I would guess his sartorial image was in tact, with his new uniform and cowboy boots, holding "turkey for his men." It's all about turkey for his men. http://scari.org/irreverent_Irreverence.html
Shucks, If I had a face to launch a thousand ships, I'd serve "turkey to my men too," if I could get some dumb citizens to foot the bill.
Carl Rove is the master of spin; I hope this event has spun outa control. What was the cost per second of his sojourn to Baghdad?
Who paid the bill for this media event?
Why don't he go get some of them evil doers while he's there. Ya know, get some of his men and go for a turkey shoot. Bush's manichean duplicity is a bit over the top for we who think the planet needs some rule of law. Cowboys should drive critters that have herding instincts.
