This was a good roundup. Interesting how some topics came up. The presidential campaign, obviously, but I was surprised how many people submitted stories about gay marriage. It's a huge issue right now.

If you read carefully the language of the proposed amendment, it divides the world between married couples (consisting of ‘the union of a man and a woman’) and ‘everyone else.’ It denies the ‘legal incidents’ of marriage not only to gay couples, but to ALL unmarried people - including heterosexual couples! This could be used to prohibit unmarried people from adopting or cohabiting, it could even be used to make a crime of ALL sex outside of marriage!
