February 27, 2004Guns > Quizilla Result: Which Gun Are You?

That's one of the lamer quzzes of that type I've seen. It just gives you answers like "handgun" or "shotgun." How boring. What kind of pistol is that, anyway? Posted by: Spoons at February 28, 2004I looked it up in The Illustrated Book of Guns and it's a Fabrique Nationale Five-SeveN™ pistol. It's a 5.7 mm pistol with a 20 round magazine. That same book has a picture of the FN P90 submachine gun in 5.7 mm, and it's a wild gun. It was designed for tank corps, support troops, and others who work in cramped spaces and rarely need a sidearm. Damn thing is a nearly rectangular, bullpup design, with a double-stack, 50-round magazine that runs on top of the gun, parallel to the barrel. When the rounds feed, they're rotated 90 degrees so that they can enter the barrel. Here's a pic. I may make that next week's gun pic of the week. Posted by: Les Jones at February 28, 2004P.S. This was the Quizilla with the worst spelling/grammar. Oh well. Like they said in Unforgiven, "Little Bill may be brave, but he ain't no carpenter."
