March 11, 2004News > Report on Abstinence PledgesClayton Cramer blogs a study that finds that kids who take pledges of abstinence until they're married have about the same rate of STDs as kids who don't take the pledges. The pledge kids start having sex later, but when they do have sex they're less likely to use condoms. So abstinence programs seem to have a positive effect, but without traditional sex ed instruction, they aren't any more effective than traditional sex ed. Posted by lesjonesComments
YOu realize you're blogging from the future? Posted by: SayUncle at March 10, 2004Yeah, I bought a souped-up Delorean today. When I blog at night I usually postdate it for the next day. Old habit from working for a newspaper. That's the way I posted to 56K.COM, too. I like posting at night and putting the blog to bed. Posted by: Les Jones at March 10, 2004Post a comment
