I worked for newspapers 3 1/2 years before coming to China and becoming a teacher. I first worked for the New York Times The York News Times, in York, Nebraska for 2 1/2 years after graduating from a small libral arts college in Lincoln. Small paper but I had a wonderful time there because I was able to do so much. Because I wanted to come to China and I wasn't making much headway paying back debt I returned home to Tennessee and I worked at The Lebanon Democrat for one year. When I return stateside, who knows what I'll do. I eventually want to go back to school.
