As an early HDTV adopter, I can say that its just like color TV in 1957.

Yeah, its good, but the content is still a bit thin. I love the HDTV and what it will do, but for now its still a 2000 system to watch 25 cent shows.

HD Tivo is a disaster.

think we're going to look back on cable as a golden age. Right now we're in a near-pefect TV world. There's a cable tuner built into my TV, VCR, and TiVo. I could get a card for my PC with the same. Plus, the sets are cheap and there's hardly any digital rights management.

Then again, the world moves on. I'd like to get an HDTV thin screen once they're down to $1500 for a 40".
