John Edwards' fabulous, fabulous hair could be a heartbeat away from the presidency. Part of the Harry Schearer video series.

OK, but he didn't say he never would
John "I don't cross picket lines. I never have" Kerry crossed police picket lines in Florida on Monday. If elected, he promises to bring the same unyielding constancy to the war on terror.

But I thought the Democrats were the party of diversity
Jim Miller asks: Is the Democrats' pro-choice litmus test keeping competent candidates out of the party?

Next up: Spain withdraws from the Iberian peninsula
Spain arrests Islamic terrorists planning to bomb the Spanish High Court. I guess appeasing the terrorists by withdrawing from Iraq didn't produce peace in their time. I'm left wondering if there's an historical precedent for appeasement not working.

Who are ya gonna trust: a Vietnam veteran or this Tommy guy?
In today's New York Times General Tommy Franks disputes Kerry's claim that we had Osama Bin Laden in our grasp in Tora Bora.

First, take Mr. Kerry's contention that we "had an opportunity to capture or kill Osama bin Laden" and that "we had him surrounded." We don't know to this day whether Mr. bin Laden was at Tora Bora in December 2001. Some intelligence sources said he was; others indicated he was in Pakistan at the time; still others suggested he was in Kashmir. Tora Bora was teeming with Taliban and Qaeda operatives, many of whom were killed or captured, but Mr. bin Laden was never within our grasp.

I'm not scared, I'm just jealous. Maybe I can pin my male pattern baldness on Osama. That and the beergut.
