Home Life > Electric Leafblowers Rule

My gas leafblower died last year, so I picked up a Toro Supervac electric leafblower today. I like it. It was a little cheaper than the gas blower, has more power (380 cubic feet per minute vs. 300), and is much quieter - it's not even as loud as a vacuum cleaner. It's also more environmentally friendly.

The tradeoff is that I have to fiddle with a power cord, but that's not so bad. I have four outside outlets and my extension cord reaches to the end of the driveway, so all's well. On the plus side, the old leafblower was my last gas-powered tool, so I no longer have to keep gasoline or 2-cycle oil around the house.
