Today we took Katie to see her first movie, which was also mine and Melissa's first new movie in about three months. We were worried about taking a crying baby to a movie theater. She had done great going to restaurants. We pushed it a little more Friday night at the Sarah Jordan tribute and she was wonderful, so we thought she would be OK at a movie.

No one gave us dirty looks going into the theater. Too, we were going to a kid-friendly movie, so at least there be would lots of sympathetic parents in the theater in case things went Code Waaaaah. We got to our seats before the lights went down. Melissa mixed a bottle of formula in case Katie woke up hungry, and I had a flashlight ready.

To cut throught the suspense, everything went great. Katie slept through the whole movie, stirring just as the credits were rolling. We had gone shopping just before that, so that was pretty good. The movie was actually Plan B after rain spoiled our plans for a walk. Otherwise we would have gone straight to the theater after a feeding and diaper check.

The movie we saw was The Incredibles. Great, great movie. The story, characters, voice talent, sound, and animation were wonderful. I'd watch it again

Oh, and I had another dream last night about Katie's first words. Just like before, she skipped "dada" and "mama" and went straight to phrases. Only this time her first words were an advertising jingle. In the dream we were in the car with the radio on when she spoke her first words and it was something like "Dyson's Cleaners - Oh Yeah!"
