I did a little work on the site that I hope will cut down on the amount of comment spam. I followed some of the advice from this page, particularly points #2 (renaming mt-comments.cgi) and #3 (switching from popup comments to inline comments). I had already done #1 (install MT-Blacklist) and #4 (upgrade mt-send-entry.cgi to 2.661 or later).
At first, the re-named comments script gave a 500 internal server error, but that went away when I chmod'ed the file to 744 (RWXR--R--).
I did a test post and everything seems to be working. Let me know if you run into any errors.
