E-commerce > E-commerce Sales Figures

The Census Bureau's Q3 2004 Retail E-commerce Sales report is out:

The third quarter 2004 e-commerce estimate increased 21.5 percent (±3.0%) from the third quarter of 2003 while total retail sales increased 6.2 percent (±0.5%) in the same period. E-commerce sales in the third quarter accounted for 1.9 percent of total sales.

As I keep saying, e-commerce keeps getting bigger, and the room for growth is phenomenal.

InstaPundit - who is blogging about online Christmas shopping - points to an MSNBC article reporting 30% growth in year-over-year online sales for the day after Thanksgiving.
