Between welcoming a new edition to our family, remodeling the house and Melissa being in school, we have a busy year. Katie Elizabeth Jones was born September 23, 2004. She was 7 pounds 7.5 oz and 21 inches long. Melissa was put on strict bed rest for the last two months of pregnancy because of high blood pressure. We had to deliver Katie through a c-section because after 12 hours of labor, she wasn't coming out. It turns out the cord was wrapped around her neck. We are so thankful Katie was born healthy. Everybody tells us she looks like her mother, but she definitely has her father's toes!

Katie will be three months old at Christmas. Katie is seeing and noticing more things. She can see a smiling face, and even seems to watch people across the room. It won’t be long before she starts to sit up and to talk.

We're doing great. Melissa's blood pressure is still elevated and the doctor is watching that. She starts back to school in January. Hopefully, she will finish by next December. Les is still blogging and posting pictures on his website, www.lesjones.com.

The house is almost completely re-modeled now. We put new siding on the house, and re-modeled the guest bedroom into a nursery for Katie. We also did some landscaping, removed several downed trees, re-graded the driveway and drainage, and removed an old shed. Next year we'll finish up the landscaping and we'll be done.
