News > It Does, Too, Rain in Southern California
Talking to Jason in the copy room today. He just got back from San Diego.
How was it? "Cold and rainy." Really? That's odd, I thought.
Melissa and I spent a week in Southern Califonia three summers ago, and stayed with her friends Ian and Michael in San Diego for a few days. They told us that it typically rained just a dozen days or so a year. While we were there the weather was perfect. Comfortable temperatures even in the summertime. Clear skies. Light breeze off the ocean.
So I was surprised that Jason had run into two weeks of rain in San Diego. Then Virginia Postrel reminded me that, oh yeah, I had heard something about rain in Southern California recently.
