January 24, 2005Blogging > Which Bloggers Do You Read First?I read everyone in my blogroll (minus the Rocky Top Brigade) at least once a week. Some people get read every day, and a few (like Instapundit) get read several times a day. Lately I've realized that I don't read my daily blogs in alphabetical order. I have favorites that I read first. Which blogs do you read first? I've put my answers behind the "Continue reading" link so I don't bias your answer. Drudge Report What do all of these blogs have in common? First, they're all updated daily, otherwise I wouldn't visit them every day. Second, I like the bloggers. I sometimes disagree with them (and sometimes really disagree - I'm looking in your direction, Bubba), but I think they're basically pretty good people and I share some part of their outlook on some topic or another. But the third thing is that they're entertaining. jwz has whacked-out stuff I don't see anywhere else. Kim Du Toit does the gun thing better than anyone. WizBang mixes politics with off-beat news and opinion. Except for jwz, they all have serious posts, but every one of them has a sense of humor and all of them are fun as much as they're informative. I read all my blogs everyday, or maybe I should say I monitor them all. You could say, Information Overload is real and becoming a problem to me ^_^ I use a feed reader so i pretty much peruse blogs i read all at once. I highly recommend bloglines.com for blog reading. Posted by: SayUncle at January 24, 2005I try to get to all of them once a week. It would be easier if EVERYBODY pinged weblogs.com - this lets Blogrolling mark the blogs that have been updated. Posted by: Zendo Deb at January 24, 2005OK. I don't read all my blog roll blogs every day, though I do read each of them at least once a week. Generally though, the frequency in which I visit a blog will vary depending upon my interests in the latest postings. Some though, always get read multiple visits - Drudge, Instapundit, Kim Du Toit, SK Bubba, Says Uncle, Alphecca, Dummocrats (now that John Tant is blogging there), the Corner and Volokh. I read Spoons a lot too. And Les Jones. Post a comment
