E-commerce > Online Advertising on the Increase

The NY Times reports that online advertising is on the upswing. Some of this will filter down to bloggers, but as I've written before I think even then it will mostly benefit the big names at the top of the power curve.

The reason is that most ad buyers can't waste their time with $50 and $100 ad buys. Life's too short, and there's too much paperwork involved. However, for a small e-commerce operation that's hep to blogs, there are probably some sweet advertising deals to be had that would benefit bloggers and small e-commerce operators.

I am sure you have heard of the "long tail" idea.

Individually i am sure that you are right, but in proportion a higher percent of advertising might go to people located on the lower half of the food chain if you will.

Most of amazon sales occur OUTSIDE of the topseller list.
