Interesting stuff. E-commerce customers hate shipping fees, because lots of people have seen an Internet bargain ruined by high freight. I'd imagine that 99% of Amazon customers won't benefit from this, but the 1% that will are big customers - either businesses or big-spending individuals - that Amazon wants to keep and keep happy.
