Economics > Airplane Insurance

Is insurance for a plane like that really necessary? You're rich, so you'll buy the plane outright (no bank loan). If the plane crashes, you'll be dead anyway. If you do survive a crash, you'll probably be motivated to find a new hobby...

I didn't insure my last airplane. If it ever crashed, I'd just glue it back together.

It looked really cool hanging from the ceiling above my cubicle too.

My husband was killed in a private aircraft owned by a friend last summer that was uninsured-we are trying to reach a settlement-I don't want to sue-can anyone tell me what the average coverage should have been?
