News > CNN News Chief Eason Jordan Resigns

Holy cow. Eason Jordan resigned amid a controversy over the remarks he made two weeks ago in Davos, Switzerland, claiming that American troops were targetting journalists. Damn that was fast.

A couple of years ago Jordan admitted that CNN kept quiet about Saddam's atrocities in order to keep its Baghdad bureau open. That was when I quit watching CNN. They knew what was happening in Iraq. Not only didn't they report it, they didn't let it inform their views of the war, which they reported on critically (against the U.S.). They were more concerned about their access, their ratings, their politics, and their brand than they were in the truth. I'm thrilled to see Eason Jordan run out of his job in disgrace. And I'd still like to see the videotape of his comments at Davos.
