News > Ward Churchill, Art Plagiarist

Ward "Little Eichmans" Churchill is in hot water again. He's exaggerated his Indian roots in the past. Now he's been caught plagiarizing Indian artwork for profit. Michelle Malkin has the details. When reporters confronted Churchill about the similarities in his artwork to earlier artwork, he got nasty. Video here.

UPDATE: Churchill apparently fudged his resume regarding his military service:

Questions also remain about Churchill's resume. In a version provided to American Design by either Churchill or one of his publishers, he says he served with the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. Military records, however, show he worked as a light-truck driver in South Vietnam.

A commentor at Little Green Footballs created this animated GIF showing the original and Churchill's copy (600K GIF file):

Not that the guy deserves it, but I can give him the benefit of the doubt on the service thing. It is possible to be a truck driver in the 101st.

Now, if he was claiming to have been an infantryman in the 101, that's a different story.

Ward Churchill impersonates whatever his mind likes, personally-as a real American Indian I think he may have gotten a hold of some peyote or bad acid or?To stand and help the Indians is one thing-to stand up w/ a honorary card and pretend to be an indian to give yourself a platform?! No wonder the A.I.M. have denounced him.He has noway to back up half of his so called truths-I support freedom of speech but not freedom to lie, and lie and lie.................
