Politics > Election Fraud 2002

Democrats were quick to charge Republicans election fraud in 2004, based on the flimsiest of anecdotes. In contrast, there was clear evidence of election fraud in several places on the Democrats part, leading to indictments of five Democrats (including several paid Kerry-Edwards staffers) for slashing tires on 25 Republican get-out-the-vote vans and an Ohio man's guilty plea for forging voter registrations for the NAACP.

On the other hand, if you want to talk about 2002, a New Hampshire man has been sentenced to seven months in prison for jamming a Democratic get-out-the-vote hotline.

Just don't talk about 2000. Nothing to see there, folks. Move along.

Oh, goodness, do we want to go there? What the hey.

Hellbent, are you implying there were irregularities in the election of 2000? ;-)

There were thousands of eligible voters purged from Florida's rolls by the co-chair of the Bush campaign.

At least two thousand Gore votes were recorded as Buchanan votes due to an illegal ballot design. It was approved by a Democrat, but incompetence on the part of an official does not mean the citizens he or she serves must suffer the consequences.

Finally, Scalia, Rehnquist, and Thomas all had immediate family members nominated for positions in the Bush administration, so their participation in Gore v. Bush was a breach of judicial ethics and grounds for censure, if not impeachment.
