True Crime > Real Life Imitates Law &Order SVU?

SPOILER ALERT: If you TiVo'ed tonights' Law and Order SVU but haven't watched it, stop reading now.

On tonight's episode a man distraught by events in the courtroom takes a cop's gun and kills a boy in the hallway outside the courtroom.

At first I thought the producers might have changed the ending to reflect what happened in Atlanta last week. Could the producers have changed things that quickly?

I saw that ep a few months ago. Looks like a rerun to me.

This does beg the question: Would they be so insensitive to this tragedy that the producers would deliberately choose to profit off of the noteriety, or was it a conincidence and the episode was simply scheduled to run at this time?

I thinkin' insensitivity.

It's a repeat, the ending hasn't been changed.

So it was a repeat, which means they didn't script the ending to reflect the Atlanta shooting, and it was a case of life imitating art and not the other way around.

Definitely a repeat, and may I say that the little prick who got shot by the dad deserved it?

every single crime that has ever happened or ever will happen has appeared on at least one of the law and orders.

period.

they have a time machine and they use it to produce mediocre TV
