Home Life > Saturday Afternoon
Melissa and I got up this morning and took Katie and Melissa's mom, Virginia, to the Dogwood Arts Festival. Beautiful day for it. Katie had a great time, and so did the grown-ups. We ate at the Downtown Grill and Brewery, and picked up some handmade soap (the lemon grass soap is awesome, and I like the peppermint, too).
I've been vaguely aware that in a couple of years I'll have to clean up my potty mouth and learn some jokes that I can tell a three year old. One of the crafts booths was making pocketbooks out of Kool-Aid juice packs, which include a joke on the back.
Q: Why did the cross-eyed teacher get fired?
A: He couldn't control his pupils.
So at least I've got that one in my playbook.
