Jane Galt is questioning a recent assertion by the Homeless Veterans Coalition that 300,000 veterans are homeless. For some reason statistical inflation seems to be part and parcel of the politics of homelessness, as embodied in Interested Participant's Second Law of Homelessness: "Homeless advocacy groups will exaggerate the number of homeless people by a significant factor. There are no qualms about overestimations of 1000 percent."
