I ran into something weird just now. I was in the blog's administrative interface and noticed a spam comment. Subject line was "create a website."

I deleted it, then when MovableType re-directed to the post the spam comment was posted to, I noticed it didn't look right. The post was just a URL, and I realized it was a draft from 2003 that I never finished.

Someone posted a spam comment to a draft. How does that work?

It could have been just hitting random IDs and MT isn't smart enough to realize the article isn't even published yet..

Maybe that's it. Should be easy enough to experiment with - just edit a page to post the comment to another post. I'll give it a try this weekend.
