So there's a Mormon woman who comes by the house every few months trying to convert Melissa. (Me, I just don't answer the door when she knocks. I'm probably doing her a favor.)

One day she's talking to Melissa on the porch and sees the box elder bugs doing the wild thing on our siding. Instead of being embarassed or ignoring it like you'd expect she chirps up and says "Oh, look at the love bugs. They're having a little orgy."

So now we call them love bugs.
