My wife and I had the same conversation last night, though I think Dave Navarro has worn out his 15 minutes already.

Didn't see the first two singers - my wife thinks the blonde guy was the best - but the dreadlocked chick was pretty good and so was the guy singing a blackcrowes song and the girl humping the guitarist. Didn't care too much for the arrangement on the mommas and pappas tune, but it would certainly sell well and I give him credit for that.

Heck, I just got a kick out of the black guy with the spiked mohawk.

Oh, and the guy from INXS who did the dirty deed of kicking the first loser out was a heck of a lot classier about it than Simon on American Idol.

I don't know. I found some of the "talent" of the contestants of less than stellar quality. I told my wife that if Dana there could make the final cut to get on the show, then I am definitely in the wrong line of work.

But, yes, highly entertaining. Just non-sucky enough to get me roped in. I will be doing weekly posts as the show goes along.

Another thing I liked over American Idol is that the judges aren't treated like the stars of the show.
