Food & Drink > Chris Wage Comes out of the Closet

His shocking secret.

And mine:

I like all kinds of better beers, but Miller High Life is my default brew. Unlike a lot of other domestics it has lots of hoppy flavor and doesn't have to be freezing cold to taste good. It's also insanely cheap at like $7 a 12 pack at the grocery store.

And the bubbles are pretty.

I can get down with some high life, and in fact, I quite enjoy high life lite, for many of the same reasons i like michelob ultra.

High Life is definitely my summer beer. But hate Ultra.

I used to be a Bud Ice man, but I really wanted a lite beer, now I am a Miller High Life Lite man.
It helps that you can get it as cheap as $1.09 a quart in some stores around here.

Miller High Life ?!?

I don't know who you are.

Ah, Miller High Life. It's my default beer as well, Tam can tell you (with distaste).

It just tastes good.

It's good to 'see' some other aficionados of The Champagne of Beers. It's got some flavor, unlike so many other cheap ones.

At my grocery, a fawty is $1.59, and a 12-pack is $6.79.

It's no Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale, but it fits my current budget much more easily.

Milwaukee's Beast, dude. Always go for the beast.

If you look at the top shelf of my fridge, you will find Miller High Life (my beer), and Labatt Blue (my wife's beer). I knew that sooner or later, the law of averages had to dictate that Les and I would agree on something. :)

I'm actually a bit of a microbrew snob, but Miller High Life is the best mass-produced beer out there.

Oh, and if you're ever in Milwaukee, as I was a few weeks ago, take the Miller tour. The 10-minute movie that starts the tour is a hoot. It's narrated by the same guy that does the High Life TV spots.

Sounds fun. I went on the Budweiser tour in St. Louis and loved it. I need to go to Milwaulkee one day. Melissa and my friend Eddie really like it.
