This past week my cable modem was the suxxor. Then my Web host's core routers melted down, keeping my blog offline for days.

Now that all that bad technology karma is out of the way, I think it's time to upgrade my blogging software. I mean, what could possiblie go wrong?

Cheat Sheet

The blog may be erratic today, and visually it will be all over the place as I pick and tweak a new template.

LATER: I got the new software installed. It took longer than I expected. I had two problems installing the main software, and another problem getting StyleCatcher to work. The Knowledge Base and Forums saved my bacon. I'm going to take a break before working on a new template.

When I was setting up my site, I test drove a bunch of products. I ultimately went with Word Press for stability and ease of installation. I haven't regretted it.

I've heard good things about WordPress. Uncle, you'll have to show me the user interface one day.
