Guns > San Francisco Handgun Ban Passes 58 to 42%

Proposition H passes. It will probably be struck down like the 1982 ban. If not, San Francisco can look forward to being the same sort of gun-free paradise as Chicago and Washington, D.C. (which is currently the murder capital of the United States).

There is SOME good news here. Even in the liberal bastion of San Francisco, only 52% of the people are still buying the anti-gun movement's baloney.

It's actually 58%, which I had right when I first posted, then changed to 52% on erroneous info., then changed back to 58%. Sorry about getting your hopes up. SF went for it in a big way, though not the 70% margin predicted in early polling.

It's blatantly unconstitutional, yet bans are still in effect in DC and Chi-town. Any resident who voluntarily surrenders their firearms may as well just turn them on themselves, as far as I'm concerned.

I think that San Francisco voters have gone insane. Gun control does not reduce crime. Mandatory sentences for gun crimes will lower crime rates.
