Funny Ha-Ha > Does Steven Wright Take Unsolicited Material?

So this guy tells me he's researched his family tree all the way back to 1842. I say, "Wow! That's amazing! 1842?

And he sort of light ups and says "Yeah, 1842!"

And I say, "That's amazing!"

And he's like, "I know!"

And I ask again 'cause I can hardly believe it, "1842?"

And he gets really excited and says "Yeah, 1842!"

And I'm like, "Wait. Do you mean 1842 BC or 1842 AD?"

And he's like, "Um, 1842 AD."

And I look disappointed and say, "Oh. Well, I guess that's still pretty good."

I haven't done it, but on my mom's side one of her cousins in Sweden has traced parts of the family tree back to the 1600s. Its pretty cool.

The 1600s! That's incredible! Wow! I mean that's totally...

Oh, you mean the 1600s AD.

It's all the fault of the border patrol.

If they had kept a better paper trail on immigrants back in the 1600s (AD), there's a lot of us would have a much longer genealogy printout.
