We decided that once Melissa's semester from hell was over and Christmas was over we'd start potty training Katie. Today she used the potty for the first time.

It was easier than I thought. We had talked to her about potty before. Two days after we brought home a potty chair and training diapers she figured it out.

Congrats! Junior sits on hers regularly and says 'pee pee' but has yet to go in it. It's like she knows what it's for but can't get the gumption to do it.

It took Katie a couple nights. She loved sitting on it. She put her toothbrush in it the first night. The second night she pulled the chamber pot out and walked around the house with it. And Melissa reminded me that it could be a fluke. We'll see if she uses it again.

Man, our kids are really gonna be embarassed by our blogs when they get older. :-)

I came upon your site by accident, and my husband and I really enjoyed reading it!! We have two daughters, 2 years and 1 month, and we were cracking up over the way you wrote about Katie's antics. Isn't parenthood hilarious??! =)
