Dear Lazyweb > RSS/Atom Tools for Non-Blog Sites

Dear Lazyweb,

I'd like to add RSS or Atom feeds to the sites I maintain for work. They aren't blog-based, so I'm looking for tools to maintain a syndication feed for news. Any ideas?

I've used Manila for my personal website for 5 years now and it came out of the box with generating RSS feeds. However, for my day job I had to create a feed for our press releases without benefit of a CMS due to time constraints. Until recently I used the Listgarden application which generates an XML document that you can upload as your feed. It also will export a barebones HTML version of your feed that you can cut and paste or pull in as an include. I no longer use it since we've got a better system now. But I liked it for the time period I had to rely on it.

That looks pretty cool. And since it runs on the desktop instead of the server I wouldn't have to worry about security issues.

I like your new Web page.

build one yourself.

Cube: Ya know, I never considered that, but it ain't that crazy of an idea. RSS has a bunch of different versions, but Atom has just one. Here's the spec. I could probably knock something together in a day or two.
