January 31, 2006Blogging > Possible Bandwidth-related Downtime TodayI got an email warning that I was about to exceed my bandwidth quota, and sure enough I'm right up there.
I've reduced the amount of material displayed on the front page to five days, but I might go over before the end of the day. If that does happen I'll be back online late tonight when the Feburary billing cycle begins. LATER: At 9:45 PM EST I'm up to 102% of my bandwidth quota. If my Web host's harvester program is anything like the one UT had it probably only checks quotas once a day, and probably late at night at that. We'll see what happens after midnight. I'm hoping that the clock resets before the harvester runs. LATER STILL: Looks like that worked. I didn't see any downtime, and my bandwidth quota has reset for February. In two years with this hosting company that was the first time I skirted the bandwidth limit, so I'm hoping it's a one-time event. If it starts happening regularly I'll upgrade to another plan to avoid this monthly drama. Posted by lesjones | TrackBackComments
