Tech > Spellbound Spelling Checker for Firefox 1.5

Oh glorious day.

Google toolbar has done this for a long time, and is available for IE and firefox.

When I'm at a computer that doesn't have it, I feel like a total idiot. I end up spell-checking my posts in Word.

My apparent IQ just went up 30 points. Thanks!

Les, you should've just asked if there was a spellcheck extension. There never has been a time that spellbound wasn't working since it was first created a few years ago, you just had to know where to look.

And I believe firefox 2.0, (the first betas should be out in the next month) will come with spellcheck.

Paul: I didn't know that Google toolbar had a spelling checker.

JH: I didn't know that, either. Every time I installed Firefox 1.5 on a computer with SpellBound it did the compatibility check and told me that SpellBound wasn't compatible, so I took its word for it.

Sick this morning. Going back to bed.

Yeah, one problem with the open source community is that you sometimes have to know where to look or who to ask.

And when firefox tells you it can't run an extension, that doesn't mean it actually can't, it just means you have to know how to get around it.
