E-commerce > Universal Sues Video-Sharing Sites

Financial Times: "Universal is demanding that they halt those actions and pay millions of dollars in compensation. Universal also reserved the right to add Sony Pictures Entertainment to the suit. Sony acquired Grouper in August for an estimated $65m."

So as soon as a company with deep pockets entered the scene, the lawsuits were filed. This is exactly the scenario people were talking about last week for YouTube and Google. Interestingly, though, the article says that Universal signed a content- and revenue-sharing agreement with YouTube last week.
