News > Netroots Lose the War in Connecticut
After losing the primary to Ned Lamont and his Kossacks, Joe Lieberman ran as an independent and won the Senate race in Connecticut.
Lamont's netroots supporters thought they would be greeted as liberators of the Democratic party, but instead were seen as occupiers. And while they decisively won the primary battle, there was no plan for the general election. The neolibs quickly found themselves in a quagmire, fighting door-to-door and taking casualties.

That's funny, because from where I'm sitting, Lamont won the Democratic primary and was thus the Democractic party's nominee for the state of Connecticut.
