So we've got one of those Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard combos. Sometimes the mouse loses its connection with the wireless base, and I'd move the base out from under the laptop stand, or hold the mouse over the base and curse.
It occurred to me that I could move the base off the desk and put it on the rollout tray with the mouse and keyboard so the signals wouldn't have to travel through the oak desk.
It works great now. Only took me three years to figure that one out.
